Di Allison - jewellery
Di Allison is a Hobart jeweller who established her own contemporary jewellery practice in 1998, having gained a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Art, Craft & Design, majoring in Jewellery.
Di is swiftly establishing a reputation for her work, both Australia wide and internationally.
One of the special aspects of Di’s work is her use of unusual components. Apple pips suspended in resin, knitting with silver wire and incorporating pearl drops, the use of acacia seeds, buttons and typewriter hammers with sterling silver - all are made with her own unmistakable flair.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows including at the Sydney Opera House as part of Design Island - Contemporary Jewellery from Tasmania in 2004, and at SOFA in Chicago in 2005.
