Robyn McKinnon - painter
Between Two Worlds 2010
I struggled to find words to honestly describe the feeling of “limbo” that sometimes exists between creation and realization – the quiet before the storm, the heaving of a wave before it crashes.
Then I cam upon this piece, by the Bard from a “Middsummer Night’s Dream”
And as imagination bodies forth
The form of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.
And as much as it says so for the poet, so too for any creative endeavour.
