Sometimes I paint prolifically for 3 months straight, and then for another 3 months I won’t paint at all, that I am ok with. They are large scale, Acrylic based paintings that are hugely layered and are often painted on canvas or found materials such as blinds, film screens and carpet. My paintings hold many memories, emotions and are the result of an immediate need to document before forgetting, and others although fun to do, not so significant, the idea simply being perhaps what I had for lunch.
Although I am not precious with my paintings, I am however, with memories, and my paintings are just that.’
