Diane Masters - printworks

Diane has lived in rural Tasmania and the remote community of Christmas Island for most of her married life. Although having strong family connections in both locations, Diane decided to return to Tasmania to study at the School of Art (UTAS) four years ago. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a double major in painting and printmaking. She is currently studying for her Masters in Fine Arts and Design.

Diane’s art practice is strongly linked to those rich and sometimes difficult experiences of living in small communities. Her work explores the ideas of environment, food security, power imbalance and belonging.
